After several years of planning, the historical villa dating back to the 19th century was completely and thoroughly restored and adapted. The existing clearly differentiated roof area above the otherwise almost square and strict volume was seized upon to complete missing floor space by means of an extension clad with expanded metal sheet.
In the context of the renovation, the Villa was adapted for the use of alternative sustainable heating and air-conditioning. Geothermal energy is the main source of energy, complemented by vacuum solar panels, which were integrated out of sight in the new attic extension. The Villa’s historical elements such as frescos, mosaics, wood panelling, windows and doors and the plaster façade were restored carefully.
