A very unique house with stone walls that rise from the wilderness beneath it. A series of stone structures hold the house amongst the trees, creating a very strong and visual connection with the lake. Lake Coatepeque is located in El Congo in El Salvador. It is one of the most breathtaking places that our country offers.
The house creates experiences from the moment you arrive to the moments shared in family and ultimately to the sole introspection made when in solitude at night.
One of the very interesting features of this house is its morphology which elongates through the valley, almost making you feel as if you where walking through it.
Clients where very specific of the idea that they did not want a conventional house. They wanted a house that recognized the site, and become one with it.
They wanted to feel as if THEY where the SITE.
We believe that this kind of projects can be imagined succesfully when we understand the site in a way that the Site + Program + Concepts become one sole entity to produce a very strong architecture, filled with emotions.
