The project is located in the heart of Playa del Carmen, occupying an entire block between the world famous Fifth Avenue and the Caribbean Sea Beach, a site with great tourist and historical importance for the city.
Through this project, it is proposed to enhance the connection between Fifth Avenue and the beach through a series of staggered squares that release the view towards the sea and adapt to the natural terrain creating an inclusive architectural program for the maximum use of all the proposed spaces , preserving the existing vegetation to generate shady areas, defined spaces for merchants and multipurpose spaces that allow residents and merchants to establish a community life while generating a relationship with tourists.
The program that is distributed within a land previously destined for the same use, included within the main streets that connect the city. It begins with a continuous path that crosses all the recreational, cultural, contemplation and rest spaces, and ends with the Plaza de las Sirenas framing a view of the majestic Caribbean coast and a pier-viewpoint with a linear route along the beach that ends with the Plaza de los Voladores de Papantla.
