Located in a residential area, this office building is able to reach out to the local community by providing a connecting passage that links the north and south roads on each side of the site.
This passage serves as the entrance of the office, and during the day it simultaneously serves as an art gallery that is open to the public.
By creating an exterior appearance with a sense of depth and using traditional Japanese materials, our
Intent was to perpetuate the inherited richness of the “Azabu” townscape.
Electronically heated glass, high insulation performance, air heat exchangers, double-skin structures created by sliding panels, and a green roof system all helped to increase the energy conservation of the building.
