VGTU science and administration center is located on Saulėtekis Student Campus in Vilnius. The area is crossed by the main artery of campus - Saulėtekis path. Newly designed building became an organic part of the whole complex.The 7600 sq.m. twelve-story building consists of three main elements: transformable 1000 seats conference hall and two rotated administrative blocks. The gallery connects the new center with older part of VGTU building complex.
The main goal was to create a new center that should represent the Vilnius Gediminas technical university as a modern thinking educational institution and inspire the students.
The building exterior is made from aluminum-glass and ventilated facade systems. The main materials that give a solid look are aluminum composite panels and high-grade zinc cladding. The most expressive and structurally complicated part of the building is the biggest in Lithuania 15 meter wide and 22 meter high arc.
