Venus E-Sports Stadium

When the Internet and social media emerged in Vietnam, it has caused a revolution in our daily life culture. In the beginning, video games were invented for the sole purpose of entertainment, but now it has grown as well recognized as a sport. Not only that, League of Legends will soon be considered as an official sport in Asian Games 2018 and furthermore the Olympic Games 2020 (Gamek.vn, 2018). For that reason, Gaming Centres have been becoming an entertainment place in Vietnam just as much as Cinemas, Bars, Clubs would.

Venus E-sport gaming stadium is located at Hue city, Viet Nam. With the capacity of 900 square meters, it is going to become one of the most invested Gaming Stadium in the city, or even in the region. The goal of this project is changing the usual structure of the local architecture design, making it a more bold and creative statement, creating a fresher look for the locations.

With the particularity of being a 24/7 operation, this project has the customer frequency travel of 700 times per day, the average capacity of 120 motorbikes. Other than the service and traffic areas, the experience area can be divided into streamer (1 person), a couple (2 people), competitive team (5 people), practice lounge (10 people) and different experience services. All fit into one without restrictions of space.

The colours and shapes of the structure have a definite, consistent feel throughout the interior and the exterior. Visually it helps to stimulate the dynamic of the sport, bringing a creative and competitive energy to the players unlike the recent trending design style of tranquillity.

We want the player’s first experience when getting out of the virtual reality has to be naturally. Green aisle with vertical traffic lane is the best way to welcome them back to the real world.

Because of the many requirements for the construction such as large capacity, heavy traffic, lots of advanced technological electric appliances for the customer; the architecture has to deal with the heat-proof system from the exterior and cooling system for the interior. More importantly is to take advantage of the heat energy for re-utilize. That is the future of sustainable architect.
