- Dong Anh is a suburban area of Hanoi experiencing rapid urbanization. Along with this comes environmental pollution, noise pollution, and a lack of green spaces where residents can enjoy fresh air after stressful working hours.
- The plot for constructing Vân Trì House is narrow in width and deep in length, located adjacent to National Highway 23. The design challenge is to create a building that is "open" and "breathes," fostering connections between people and between people and nature.
- We solved this challenge by creating garden spaces as transitional buffers to the living areas. These green gardens provide relaxation for the homeowners after a tiring workday while also limiting noise and air pollution's impact on the living space.
- The lobby space interweaves greenery along the pathway.
- The living room and kitchen spaces are filled with sunlight.
- The multi-level space spans the entire house, allowing natural light to flood every room. Pleasant breezes circulate, creating an environment where family members can easily communicate, connect, and bond.
All the usual stuffiness of a narrow house is completely eliminated.
- A large skylight provides light and air circulation for the building. Electric curtains are installed for the skylight, allowing for more flexible use.
- The staircase combines steel and wood materials, enhancing the open and airy feel of the multi-level space.
- Healing of the spirit is promoted through the interplay of natural elements, allowing individuals to enjoy relaxation right within their own home.
- The bedroom with its own garden and early morning sunlight will awaken you instead of a phone alarm.
