Valley Hope is a regional provider of addiction treatment and recovery providing residential and outpatient treatment in multiple locations/states. Treanor designed the addition and renovation for Valley Hope of Parker which combines two existing buildings into one. The upgrades to the facility will help the staff to serve the growing demand for their successful programs by adding 16 detox beds and 14 beds for residents who participate in therapy and group programs for between 28-60 days.
Spacious day rooms and dining facilities in the Detox wing allow for that space to be separate from the longer stay residents and outpatient programs. Additional amenities include a new wellness center, arts and crafts, exam rooms and administration, waiting, and admissions areas, counseling, offices and group rooms. Many of the residents have behavioral or mental health conditions in addition to substance abuse / addiction. Because of this security and safety are integrated into all of the elements on the campus along with comfort and anxiety reducing strategies like sound control, natural daylight, warm, soothing colors and patterns and balancing a mixture of open and enclosed spaces. Anti-ligature fixtures are provided in select resident rooms and restrooms. Safety glazing and durable and secure materials were selected. The welcoming environment will aid in the recovery and treatment of the residents and help staff to better serve their clients.
The site improvements include therapy gardens, open patio areas for group gatherings, games, contemplation and leisure. A covered patio dining area extends the renovated dining and kitchen areas to the outdoors. Large glass patio doors and ample glazing bring the outside into the spaces to improve patient outcomes and well being.
