Perched on a heavily contoured site amid sprawling vineyards, in the wine district of Maharashtra, the architecture of this production facility defies every pre-conceived notion of being one, owing to its aesthetically conceived spaces. The nature of the terrain was effectively utilized to facilitate the production process through gravity flow-as opposed to mechanical means, allowing for minimal violation of site conditions. The construction system employed is conventional industrial north-light trusses, built out of hollow tubular steel sections for the production areas, while the other ancillary facilities are covered with flat RCC slabs. Factors inherent within the site with regard to natural light, local materials etc were put to optimum affect by imbibing it within the architecture, creating engaging and receptive spaces and a suitable ambience which would cater to the many guests that are expected to visit this facility.
