Diversity is a key element that Tel Aviv needs in order to develop into a Global City. Therefore, the project analyzed the characteristics of the urban boredom of a typical Tel Aviv neighborhood, thus discovered that the gaps between the building and the back yards are the first basis for change and diversity.
The urban intervention takes shape in the form of routes and scaffolding. The routes run in the gaps and create new experiences and functions in a space that is neglected to this day. The scaffoldings are opportunities for density, change and a variety of inhabitants, textures and uses.
The second basis for change is the scattered educational functions. The project creates a new type of urban ‘HUB’ in a central location in the neighborhood, while using the tools developed in the urban stage of the project.
