The existing combined rooms created awkward spaces, whereas the new design eliminated this problem, and created rooms with more privacy off a single hallway. The biggest changes were in the living, dining and kitchen spaces, and the master bathroom.
A few walls came down to create an open living space, and a couple went up to create a private office/ baby room next to the living room. Our biggest challenge was to create a custom lavish media center, to house the owner’s prized audio equipment, with a fireplace in the center. A matching closet unit was created at the entry to bridge the aesthetics of the spaces together.
The selection and placement of lighting fixtures was thoroughly thought out to give the artwork a focus in the space.
The new master bathroom was defined by adjusting the back wall in the master bedroom to allow more space. After the adjustment was made we were able to make the bathroom walls functional. On the other side of the bathroom we exposed an old window which let in natural light and air, creating a spa-like bathroom.
The kitchen cabinetry and master bedroom closet unit were a joint effort with Smallbone of Divizes, while the beautiful outdoor space was designed by Jeffrey Erb who’s creative output complimented the interior.
