The 70,000 sf tent is composed of repurposed standard structural elements. An "incision" into the body of the tent marks the entrance and serves as a signboard from Ocean Drive. The interior configuration establishes a diagonal axis, rather than the 'egg-crate' arrangement that typifies most art fairs. The axis leads from the entry area to the restaurant and cafe, which have views through the transparent elements to the ocean just beyond. It also creates numerous opportunities for more informal spaces for installations, performances and educational activities. The ceiling is translucent and provides a luminous interior, optimal for showing art.
