this is submittion for University of Padjajaran Rectorate competition in Jatinangor, the concept is to create a new icon for University of Padjajaran and also respect to the local content. the building geometri is transformation from traditional roof of West Java "Julang Ngapak", and also the shape is represent "salam"(greeting) in West Java ways. the building design is based on tropical architecture consideration with natural light, natural ventilation, and local material and the system are follow the natural system.in this competition we see another perspective about traditional building, I try to translate a tranditional architecture and local culture to this building, creating a new paradigm in traditional architecture is not always be traditional but it ca be modern and new but also respect to the cultural context.
