The University of Iowa’s main campus has a truly unique character, defined by its relationship with the Iowa River and with downtown Iowa City, it offers a connection to both the natural landscape and to the density of an urban environment. Elizabeth Catlett Residence Hall borders the Iowa River corridor to its west and the University’s existing residence neighborhood and undergraduate core to its east.
With a high concentration of undergraduate academic space on east campus and the close proximity of student residences to academic areas, there is a growing demand for student service amenities. HED blended this residential and academic experience to create a Living/Learning Community.
