A small faculty library for the Catholic University of Eichstaett. To be designed after a short study trip to the city to examine the cultural, architectural and religious context. The library takes the form of an inhabited wall between the lane and surrounding gardens. Designed with particular reference to the work of Karl Joseph Schattner in Eichstaett this building is designed to fit into a dense, medieval city centre site. Spaces of special note include the three storey entrance gallery and exhibition space and the large reading rooms.
