Nestled along the serene shores of a tranquil lake and surrounded by lush woods, this modern home combines sleek design with seamless integration into its natural environment. From the outside, the house presents a striking profile with its bold black brick exterior, a distinct contrast to the verdant greens of the surrounding forest and the shimmering blues of the water. Its design embodies both elegance and functionality, offering a unique blend of contemporary aesthetics and creative, hidden features custom-built for our client. The house’s exterior is clad in deep black brick, meticulously laid to create a textured facade that catches the light at different times of the day, adding dynamic visual interest. Large, floor-to-ceiling windows punctuate the brickwork, inviting abundant natural light and providing uninterrupted views of the lake and forest. A flat roof with clean lines enhances the modern aesthetic, while a minimalist entryway with a sleek wooden door sets the tone for the luxury that lies within. The landscaping around the house is intentionally designed to blend with the natural surroundings. Native plants and trees provide privacy and enhance the sense of seclusion. A spacious patio, perfect for entertaining or quiet contemplation, extends from the back of the house and offers direct views of the water.
Inside, the open floor plan maximizes space and flow. The main living area is anchored by a stunning great room with soaring 12 ft ceilings and expansive windows that frame the views on both sides like a work of art. A sleek, linear fireplace with cantilevered concrete mantel anchors the room. On the other side, the sleek black palette of the kitchen complements the exterior black brick. Per the client’s request, we designed a custom millwork gallery wall with hidden compartments throughout, allowing for a clean display with creative storage solutions. Every room in the house is designed to take full advantage of the stunning natural surroundings. The large windows and sliding glass doors create a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing residents to enjoy breathtaking views of the woods from almost every vantage point.
