This current project in Bali is Don Albert & Partners first South East Asian project and establishes a new design typology for the firm: the subterranean eco-dwelling. The resort comprising 36 four-bedroom villas and 200 hotel suites will be built within man-made limestone caves in Uluwatu's famous cliffs, facing one of Bali's most pristine beaches. In addition to the cave units and cave hotel are a number of bamboo houses that nestle into the vegetated areas of the cliffs. The project is in zoning approval phase.
