These 3D visualisations present the concept of an Ultra Light Rail in Norway. This attractive idea is found throughout the world, and even though it is considered a new trend, it is based on existing and well- functioning tramway technology. This form of public transportation has plenty of advantages as it is environmentally friendly, cost effective and highly reliable in comparison to heavy rail systems.
The vehicle used in this concept is quite small so it can easily move in the city centres, operating safely in pedestrian areas, without any obstructions. It is autonomously powered, so there is no necessity for overhead supplies blemishing the city landscape.
The construction of the vehicle itself is quite simple, without any kind of unnecessary accessories. It was designed with the usage of bright, red colour to give it a distinctive feature. Although, the stops are to be built a couple of meters above the ground, they meet modern accessibility requirements in full and would be easily accessed via stairs or lifts. They are kept in the modern, innovative concept with futuristic lightening.
Each of the vehicles can take up to 9 people, leaving the space for baggage or buggies, and they are completely driverless! This eliminates potential driver mistakes and gives this concept a superior quality service.
