This installation prepared visitors for an exhibition of contemporary Barcelona design. The entry experience establishes the link between the artifacts on display and the context of their origin through the abundance of a turn-of-the-century motif typical of Modernismo, the Catalan variation of Art Nouveau. The installation creates maximum impact with a limited budget through a clever use of primarily surface patterning techniques.
