A housing complex of two residencies in Varibobi, a suburb of Athens, including a working area for artists in the basement, designed with pathetic solar tactics (energy systems).
The programme demands a minimum compact space, in total 50 m2 on each level for every unit.
The sustainable design, concerning the pathetic energy, such as the integration of the Trompe-Michel solar black wall on the south facade, among other searches, was at the core of the design.
At the same time, the bodily experience introduced a simple narration, growing between the enclosed and the open stairway which drives the body up to the roof, inside and outside the boundaries of the longitudinal surface.
With this gesture, the private everyday bodily presence is projected to the public. Secondarily several curious small storage spaces, closets, niches, shelving units etc. are formulated.
