The Twin Park Towers are 25-story luxury condominiums located in Taichung, Taiwan. The towers front a regional park and are the only buildings within the district which were allowed toexceed 14 stories in height.
Studio One Eleven at Perkowitz+Ruth Architects was asked to design the exterior building envelope. The envelope combines granite, Japanese tile, aluminum, steel and glass in an elegant and refined composition. Zoning criteria required an illuminated lantern element be included at the top of the building. The solution incorporates a Sky Lounge at the top of each tower, providing dramatic views to and from the city.
Careful consideration was given while designing the skin to ensure that each unit maximize opportunities for daylighting, natural ventilation, views, private outdoor space and privacy.
