Located on either side of a narrow public lane, the two structures that compose this residence have exteriors that reflect the historical context of the seaside community where this home resides. The simple forms and wood-shingled walls and roofs are reminiscent of the structures that used to grace the local shoreline. Cupolas recall the glazed top of the nearby Sheffield Island lighthouse. A different approach informs the interiors, where frequent use of both industrial and contemporary materials captures the client's modernist sensibility and aesthetic. Michael Gorski was the project architect for this residence while working at Beinfield/Wagner Architects.
