As the first step within the scope of the renovation of the management floor of the Gayrettepe Headquarters Building, where the heart of Türk Telekom, Turkey's first and largest telecommunications company, beats and all operations are carried out, the renovation of the board of directors meeting room is planned. In the board of directors meeting room, many design alternatives were created to reflect the innovative, innovative and technological aspect of the company, and among these alternatives, the alternative that best reflects the institution was chosen by the management.
While creating the main system of the design, terms such as fiber network system, base station, server, which are important for the telecommunication system, were emphasized and these elements were abstracted and included in the design. In addition, the dominant corporate colors of the company have been made a part of the design. Among the dominant corporate colors, blue was used as a gradient floor covering and it was aimed to welcome the guests with this color. In order to bring the corporate color to the forefront, to make the remaining space neutral ,gray wood coatings on the walls and furniture are considered.
The modular ceiling system, inspired by old panel modules, aims to gather everyone sitting at the meeting table under one roof. The meeting table, located in the middle of the space, is equipped with state-of-the-art LED screens and sound systems in order to reflect the innovative and technological features of the company. In order to meet the needs of the people in the hall, a small kitchen, free sitting areas, auxiliary tables and display units were placed around the meeting table. Base stations, which have an important place in communication and data transfer on the walls of the meeting room and in the section where the chairman of the board of directors sit, have been abstracted and turned into a design element. From this abstract concept, lighting fixtures such as wall lamps and lamps were created. Graphical studies were designed with reference to fiber network mappings in wall niches. However, these graphic studies could not be implemented due to the waiver of the management. In addition, the exhibition units, which tell the history of the institution and contain elements such as old telephones and modems, are designed to be included in the space in the future.
In general, an innovative and technological space has been tried to be created, which includes the important elements of the company from the past to the future, supported by corporate colors and graphics, and reflects the future vision of the company. It is thought that this created place will be a guide to other places to be created in the next steps.
