The Barcelona Wind Tunnel is unique in the world since it is the first time that a building of this type has been built within an existing building (in this case the Spanish soccer field). It is, without a doubt, the most difficult work we have faced.
Wind Tunnels for parachuting practice were for professional / military use until the end of the 70s. From then on, its use as a sport discipline and later entertainment, began to develop.
A really special project where architecture and engineering have teamed up to create this “tour de force” of the structural and mechanical engineering which has found the perfect means of expression through architecture.
