This juice bar for Lovage and Ace Hotel in Milan at Wallpaper* (Magazine) Handmade, is an installation as part of Milan Design Week 2014. The project was sponsored by the American Hardwood Export Council. Tulip wood in natural and heat-treated finishes is designed to be demounted and reused, the timber repurposed from a previous exhibition. The design creates a snaking bench, reaching out to form seating with a bridging bar section. The slatted construction is to break down the mass of the bar and remove the distinction between server and served.
