The design brief for Yerba Buena had two conditions. The first was to integrate a working area into the apartment and the second was to convert the rest of the apartment into a sophisticated, elegant space. The colors selected for the living room and bedroom areas were meant to portray warmth, comfort and class. Wood became the material that connected eclectic, modern accessories with classic, statement pieces such as the lounge chairs and the sofa.
The studio kept a simple aesthetic and displayed the owner’s favorite artist on the back wall. The finishes were chosen to give the space texture and dimension. As for the bedroom, a light, organic style was given with the accessories to keep a playful feel and counteract the strong, rustic finishes.
