Located on the Baillie Henderson Hospital campus, this project encompasses the conversion of a heritage listed ward building into a training facility for rural students.
The conversion includes meeting and training rooms, video-conferencing and tele-health rooms, as well as office facilities.
Surface mounted services, suspended grid ceilings and other accretions were removed to restore and highlight the original detailing of the structure, chief among which are the beautiful pressed metal ceilings.
To manage office noise and chatter, suspended acoustic clouds were introduced, allowing the heritage ceilings to remain visible, while improving the auditory experience of the building.
As the client was looking for a vibrant fit-out, our design introduced modern colours, light fittings and furniture.
