The house juts out from south table mountain giving it panoramic views of the mountain and city to the west. The pallet of rusted steel and stone was taken from the rusted veins in the butte behind. The house itself is long and shallow allowing breezes to pas through for cooling and allowing light to come in from 2 sides of each room. The floor plan is essentially a rectangular box that is split to allow a keyhole view of the butte between the buildings behind. The split creates an outdoor room on the back of the house.
