This is a very compact house designed for a single adult living in the suburbs of Osaka Prefecture. The house consists of three volumes of different sizes. The first volume serves as a space for daily activities such as sleeping, eating, working, and relaxing, with a large semi-transparent curtain vaguely dividing the areas. The second volume includes the bathroom and closet. The third volume is a guest room. The volumes are positioned at the center of the site and are enclosed by galvanized steel panels, shielding them from the surrounding noise. While there are no large windows, sunlight enters through high windows on the south side.In Japan's suburban areas, where population decline and inflation persist, the demand for such compact housing is likely to grow further in the future.
