Ts'uubaa-asatx Cafe is a First Nation Cafe located along the shores of Lake Cowichan, BC developed by the Lake Cowichan First Nation.
The design is a contemporary translation of the Lake Cowichan First Nations traditional Plank House. The design feature is a cedar plank 'box' with a fully glazed seating area. The box will be clad in cedar planks that will be 2"-3" thick and 2'-5' high. The heavy timber beams and joists will be cedar.
The site is constrained and the kitchen, washrooms are located in the lower level. The Ts'uubaa-asatx Cafe will have a traditional First Nation infused menu.
