Open to the neighborhood and without fencing, the community is accessible from the street via three pathways. The strategic placement of the huts strikes a balance between a need for openness and security, views and privacy, socializing and solitude. Within the community, pathways connect visitors to the eight huts (nine units in total), the communal pavilion, gardens, and eight parking spots (alongside the back of the alley).
Each prefabricated steel Quonset hut is assembled on top of a four-inch concrete slab with in-floor radiant heating, which is also the unit's finished floor. The end walls feature custom steel framing around polycarbonate panels that provide a high level of security, natural light, and thermal value.
