The ‘Triangle Pavilion’ is the project with area of around 75 square meters. It functions as a club-house of ‘Modus Vibhavadi’ housing project and was created as a part of the main park, which is a common area of the housing. The building provides a landmark in the surrounding green spaces and hosts a interior space for the fitness room, juristic office and powder rooms. This small project has provided us the opportunities to explore the relationship between architecture and sceneries that have exceeded its own dimensions.
The pavilion is within a narrow linier-shaped green field. By the building regulations, the project site is tiny and long and oriented from east to west. While the west and south of the site face directly to the main park, the north is main road and the east is the wastewater treatment plant of the housing project. The west and south façade will be completely opened to the park, while the steel screen and the courtyard on the northern side provide the pavilion a natural privacy screen. The powder rooms will be located on the western side in order to separate the pavilion from the wastewater treatment plant.
The main character of the pavilion is the modular system. This is composed from a triangle type piece that multiplies and unites in a base module or a complementary module. The idea was dis-tinctly emphasized in the components of both architectural and landscape elements. This triangle modular is also related with the ‘V’ letter in the housing project’s name, Modus ‘V’ibhavadi.
Though the ‘Triangle Pavilion’ appears simple from outside, the interior is composed by ‘triangle’ modular elements of: floor pattern and steel ceiling which create an individual space. The human scale of the pavilion makes it a comfortable space where to experience living in a green filed.
