This renovation design involved modifying a difficult existing bathroom space into an elegant master bath worthy of the existing house. The existing bathroom had a cathedral ceiling at the corner of a hip roof that sloped awkwardly from one corner to the other. Our decision to create a false slope that mirrored the existing slope created a powerful symmetry that fed the rest of the design. We designed his & hers vanities on opposite sides of the room, using finished concrete countertops & floating maple cabinets. We combined the shower & tub into a single large wet space lit by the large existing windows. A large glass wall separates the wet area while maintaining the elegant openness of the large space.
