Initially for residential use, this villa from the 1970s has undergone a real transformation, carried out by Cays Studio, an interior architecture and design agency. A converted place, in the heart of Casablanca, to house the new agency "Atlas voyages" by revealing an attractive design. It is precisely in the Racine district that this 145 m² project is nestled, to the rhythm of free lines giving shape to an original “Travel store”.
As soon as you enter, the reception counter, set up like a bar with a red background, immerses you directly in the atmosphere of the place. A bright space, lit by the large bay window on the main façade, or even by the uniformly arranged lights, offering a diversity of colors and intertwining atmospheres.
The designers have managed to draw through the openwork partitioning, openings materializing the arcades. Each element of this space is inspired by the curvature of the arches, in order to cause a subliminal redundancy. A subtlety that stems from this superposition of shapes, half-concave, half-convex, and which stand out through a mix of complementary materials. It is the design of the furniture that transfers this layout on different scales, thus giving it shape. The preserved terrazzo of the time, in a nod to the age of this old building, blends with the wooden parquet in certain corners while creating a pleasant contrast. The openings finely defined by a dazzling red recall the emblem of the agency by accentuating the curves of a curvilinear layout.
