“Transformers Labs” is a concept for, Ateliers APG – Paris, French pastry chef, for its points of sale and boutiques.
The aim of Ateliers APG is to establish its activity worldwide, and the concept to be transposable to different places and cultures.
The main difficulty for this project is the fickleness of the needs ; the size of these points has to fit in a range from 15sqm to 300sqm and must work either located in commercial malls or in a urban boutique.
With the works of Atelier APG we enter the realm of the great handcraft, a world where everything deals with a complex and complete process.
From finely selected raw materials to be subtly combined, until their appropriate staging.
The “Labs” are designed as this stage, whereon the Ateliers APG creations perform, after being devised elsewhere, in secrecy…
The “Transformers Labs” concept make that happen.
They are unique.
They are transposable.
They belong to the Atelier APG.
They are Atelier APG.
They provide a simple, pure, radical and effective image.
The “Labs” are elementary.
The “Labs” combine worlds that collide for a unique experience, wherein haute cuisine meet theater, art, sculpture…
The layout is simple, straight.
A transparent central pole wherein you can see the making of, the movements of the chef in action.
The central pole is out marked by the glazed refrigerated display cases, easily accessible from either the interior or the exterior.
At the external periphery, the counters are the last boundary, for the “Labs” are accessible from all sides.
The black raising bells, once closed, secure the elements of the lab, they are also the Atelier APG store signs.
Once opened, they are the sign that the “Lab” is operating, but they still remain the Atelier APG store signs.
The “Transformers Labs” use for their operating mechanism, technologies borrowed to the industry such as industrial raising systems or micro precision movement system controls.
