Located in the heart of the vineyards on the heights of Pully, Switzerland, the renovated apartment hosts an open kitchen, a living room, three bedrooms and two bathrooms on approximately 100 sqm.
Before its transformation, the apartment, originally built in the 80s, did not exploit the exceptional potential of its environment. With a ceiling as high as 240cm, a narrow corridor distributing all the rooms and strongly partitioned spaces, the apartment seemed dark and cold.
The intervention had to be efficient to give a second life to this apartment while having rational cost management. The « day area » and its distribution were completely revised. The kitchen is now fully open to the living room and the entrance area to benefit from of a double orientation of the views. Due to its central position, the generous kitchen island becomes the central element around which the whole family’s life is organized.
A large, integrated, full-height door now separates the « night area » from the « day area ». The position of the bedrooms has been slightly modified to provide an integrated closet to the master bedroom and offer a large view of the vineyards.
Particular attention was paid to the creation of integrated oak furniture. Large storage spaces are now present in most of the rooms.
