taskdesign of a community hall for the two villages of widnau in switzerland and lustenau in austria.evolutionthe villages of widnau and lustenau are geographical grown together. but there is a non-physical barrier: the border. this bar generates, not only because of the obvious characteristic, a social gap between the people of switzerland and austria. therefor it is very important to have a place where the community meets - because they do not have such a location by now. a new multipurpose building for both villages will reanimate the social life and the relations between widnau and lustenau.resultthe building spans the river and connects two important points in widnau and lustenau. you enter the community center over a bridge, which also functions as a public park. through a spacious entrance you get into the inside of the bulding, where a multipurpose hall, a library, a restaurant, a sportshall and much more is located.
