The construction dates back to the eighties but in 2020 it was subject to energy efficiency, within the financing program for the relaunch of the economy in Italy, using the super bonus.
At the same time, it was also decided to carry out modernization works on the interior, due to the changing needs of the property, following changes in lifestyle.
The house, which is spread over three levels, internally had a typical image of the period of its construction, with a rather usual division of the rooms.
On the ground floor, beyond the entrance from which the staircase leads to the other two upper floors. There was a garage, still existing, and a large room intended for storage, cellar, technical room and a bathroom.
On the first floor, we had a large kitchen, a living room and a bathroom. On the second attic but completely habitable floor there are three bedrooms and a large bathroom.
Our intervention involved creating an area for guests on the ground floor.
We increased its brightness by opening another window, creating a multipurpose hobby room, with kitchenette, fireplace and bathroom.
On the first floor the kitchen area has been reduced to create a smaller one and to give greater priority to the living area which has been divided into a conversation area, a reading (relaxation) area in front of the fireplace and a dining area. The leitmotif of the intervention on this floor is marked by the rhythm of the large windows with black metal profiles and longitudinal panels. A tribute to the cultured and avant-garde decor of the 20th century. Transparent volumes marked by the graphics of the metal profiles, which stand out clearly within the entire living area.
A play of windows with hinged, swing and sliding doors characterize, with their geometry, the compositional layout of this environment.
The glossy white lacquered kitchen, shielded from the conversation area by an H-shaped configuration of the windows, has been configured to be very efficient but essential in its image, characterized at the same time by the insertion of some cobalt blue lacquered components. It is equipped with a snack island.
Another change to the initial layout was made to create a filter area, as an anteroom in the living area. The latter is also characterized by a volumetric corner made up of two windows.
The entire intervention was based on the use of two main colours, white and black, which not only on the structure of the rooms are also repeated in the furnishing accessories, such as: sofas, seats and furniture.
The upper floor is accessed from another branch of the staircase which, from the ground floor, does not follow a constant path but is staggered in the ramps, compared to the landing one in the living area.
Here we find attic rooms with a height higher than the standard as the roof slabs are exposed.
Also on this floor the predominant color is the white of the walls of the lamps and the balustrade.
In the bedroom white still predominates and has been toned down by the interventions of the colors of the attic of the chest of drawers and some decorations. From it there is access to a large walk-in wardrobe, which replaced the third bedroom. The bathroom with double sink is characterized by the porcelain stoneware covering by Ceramica Santagostino.
