This is the housing for 2 generations in Japan. Each generation’s space is assembled by the different way. One space, for young family, is one big space. It is like a geographical feature where various spaces are connected. It’s considered as a light colors and rough materials. Other space, for elderly couple, is an aggregate of various rooms. It is considered as a calm colors and materials.
The appearance is like that the upper generation wraps in a lower generation. It means it is the house that a child growth up freely all the time in parent’ warm look.
