The architectural references for the Nuova Torrefazione Salsese in Liberty town of Salsomaggiore Terme bring us in Paris in 1895 when a new shop, named Art Nouveau, was opened with the purpose of dealing only modern objects, going beyond the traditional imitation of style.
The Art Nouveau movement was so much influenced by that little shop that took its name after it. As much as that movement had to face a rough historical and intellectual context, our design reflect a similar approach. We wanted to move toward a coherent historic continuity, escaping from any previous geometrical reference settled in the modern movement. This type of approach is so important that it is still valid today.
