Adjacent to a park, that represents the most appealing feature of the
site, the layout of this housing scheme is based on the need to concieve
volumes that relate to the attactive void opposite it, working
respectively on the materials and configuration of the outer envelopes.
These, while varying in size, have the same formal characteristics and
irregular appearance, achieved via carefully balancing the elements of
solid and void. They are made from prefabricated elements in artificial
stone in a brick-red colour (the intensity of which resembles Sienna
earth) with natural finishes, joined rhythmically in such a way as to
create an effect of “giant-size” cladding.
