In the vibrant tapestry of Todos Santos, where the desert meets the ocean, and the threads of Mexican culture weave seamlessly with the natural beauty, emerges the enchanting Todos Santos Boutique Hotel project.
With captivating architecture that pays homage to Mexico's rich cultural heritage, the project comprises 10 rooms, a bar, restaurant, wine cellar, and pool area, all part of the transformation of a historic building built in 1890. Preservation of the old facade was prioritized as a distinctive and introductory element. The classic architecture of the area was incorporated into the interior space, where open brick arcades in the hallways merge private spaces with the property's interior landscape.
The design proposal and material palette draw inspiration primarily from the hotel's historical context and its surroundings. A welcoming, romantic, and saturated color palette awaits, transforming each space into a distinctive, cozy haven.
The craftsmanship, a cornerstone of the hotel's interior design, bears the skilled imprint of Mexican hands. Carpentry work is a fundamental feature, it aims to honor the original hotel's proposal where material density contributes to the robustness and durability of the solid and high-quality wood. A diverse array of materials—textiles, metals, crystals, natural stones, and more—came together, birthing uniquely tailored furniture.
"Fresco" murals narrate diverse tales in every nook, with pigments echoing the desert color palette enveloping the hotel. This technique captures nuanced details and expressions of historical events in Todos Santos, imbued with profound cultural significance.
Each of the ten rooms spins its narrative through murals, documenting various Baja California missions, crafting unique scenarios for the esteemed guests.
In La Copa bar, the pursuit was to innovate within tradition. Materials, colors, textures, and the arrangement of furniture weave a cozy ambiance with a seductive and provocative style, continuously unveiling the hotel's context and history through intricate details. Amidst this captivating narrative, the murals come to life, portraying the enchanting landscape of Baja California, the timeless tradition of sugar "trapiches," and the diverse flora and fauna that grace the peninsula. fauna of the peninsula.
