TIMELESS HOUSE – A Home in Harmony with Nature
Located in a small alley in Saigon, TIMELESS HOUSE responds to the city’s intense climate and vibrant everyday life. The house is designed as a retreat that embraces nature, raw materials, and open living, creating a relaxed environment for family connection, work, and everyday life.
The exposed concrete structure, unfinished plastered walls, polished concrete floors, and natural timber furniture retain their raw and evolving character. A double-layer façade helps reduce western solar radiation, while greenery woven through the façade provides shade, privacy, and natural cooling.
The staircase forms the main circulation spine and acts as a vertical ventilation shaft. Hollowed steps enhance air movement between floors, allowing the house to breathe naturally.
The program is organized vertically, from a double-height office and mezzanine on the ground floor, staff accommodation on the second floor, to the family living spaces on the upper levels. A rooftop garden for vegetables, fruit trees, and outdoor activities completes the home as a place closely connected to nature.
