One of
the themes that are interesting to us is the working methodology of trial and
error, to understand every social, economic, political, organic, energy and
hydric phenomena, just to be able to find specific arguments for intervention.
For us each project is an opportunity to take intelligent risks.
For
Cinema Hall Pushinski intervention we focus (taking into account the historical
and architectural value of the building) to develop strategies to re-qualify
the place and change the collective imagination in relation to the building. We
decided to act primarily on the fifth façade (Roof) by placing a large roller
coaster as an iconic and recognizable element by all the inhabitants of Moscow,
to potentiate the cultural and social activities that take place around the
Cinema Hall. On the other hand as part of an additional architectural program
we proposed a Mini Amusement park that could be the physical memory of
outstanding Russian films and allow users to carry a surreal world full of
excitement and entertainment.
It is worth noting that the
intention that we had at the time of designing the project was to create a
sustainable intervention not only in environmental terms but also in social and
economic ones.
