PROJECT
SOLUTION: HIGH STRUCTURE CONCEPT
The
STRUCTURE as a
Spatial Symbol , an
Informative Event that is
able to produce
an unforgettable visual
effect, symbolizes the Memory of a
New Model
of Mentality.
The
proposed High Emblem
Structure appears to
be an image
of a powerful
whirl wind above the desert.
This tornado of
some kind seizes
and
lifts
upwards new and
new ideas - huge leaves-sails
are symbols of them .
At some moment
an architect fixes
this phenomenon on
a paper. With
all of its
might
the tornado turns these
leaves-sails around an axle mast -
which is
an elevator sluice
in a glass
shell.
The axle,
as it
were a trunk
of a tree,
penetrates into the
deep-
ness of ages - that
is symbolized by
an old oriental
yard with a glass
covering above it.
Its inner space
is a place
of calmness, where
one could be
sheltered from the
Sun and dusty
wind.
In the night
time translucent roof seems
to be the
sky and one can
watch the movement
of stars through
it while hanged in
the sky leaves-sails
reflect the flight
of his thoughts.
The morning approaches, the Sun
illuminates all around
and mirror leaves reflect a
new day and
new events. Nearer
the noon
the mirrors
of the
sails , reflecting the blue
sky, would have
disappeared , as if they
were a mirage , for
bursting into bright glints
over the horizon
in the evening.
We begin our
trip, uprising along
the mast up
to a philosophical
'' Tea House '' - cafe, to
enjoy a head-turning
music of the
wind of changes. The
oriental
yard stays below
with its round
water pool and a troupe
of
musicians
and actors beginning
their performance next
to it.
PROJECT
SOLUTION (CONSTRUCTION)
The base of
the Structure is
a three-cornered
, in a
plan, pyramid. This basis has
a height 8.2
m above the level
of ground. Circumferences, the
sides of the pyramid are
written in , touch the ground at
mark of - 0,15m .
A spatial three-cornered steel
frame above the
base is composed of
square ( more than
1 m in
cross section ) hollow
pipes. A roof,
the same time
serving as an
external wall of
the podium, is
composed of independent
glass covering that
is to carry
out few
functions such as head
covering , protection from
direct sunlight
and also decorative
function : it is
translucent in the
day time and
shines from within
in the nights.
The roof from
within is supported
by steel ribs
of inflexibility ( plates
of 1 m height ).
Ribs make a look of
an oriental ornament
and also serve as
screens protecting from
the direct sunlight. Additional steel
cantilever ribs are
fastened from the
outside to the steel
tubular construction. They
cantilever maintain loadings
from apartment of the
first floor ( conference hall
for 100 persons,
children library and
art-studio and creative
laboratory).
The leaves-sails of
half-round form are
also fastened to
the basic
construction, growing into single
unit with it. They
are through
and fastened parallel
to each other
in each 1
m, thus disposed
strictly horizontally. These
panels consist of
composite materials,
the same time light
and durable , applied in an
aviation ( GLARE ),
their lower surfaces
covered with Nickel
or other material
imitating flippy. (Mirror reflections)
A construction of elevator
sluice is made
of steel tubes
of three-
cornered cross-section, which are
fastened as pile-constructions at a
deepness of more than 15 m. Having
gathered 6 such
bases which will serve
as sending rails
for vertical motion
of elevators and also
will be used
as mines for
vertical communications of
supply of the
upper cafe, we
form a single
spatial three-cornered in
its plan frame-sluice .
The frame-sluice is
supported by horizontal
connections , fastened
to the basic construction at
some vertical marks.
These connections are
able to serve
for technical service
and evacuation in
case of a fire
emergency. Fire-protected evacuation booths
can
be placed on
them.
The wind load
on the leaves-sails
is minimized because
of their
through structure.
In fact , ground floor , disposed on
the mark of +
0.000, is a big
single
atrium foyer , an elevator hall
for 2 elevators
for 8 persons
each
and 1 for
disabled ones in
it. Central front
staircase going to the
first floor goes around
the elevator hall.
So 2 stairs
provided for
evacuation located in both
sides of the
hall .
Cash Department, Administration Room
and Information Centre
are disposed next
to the central
entrance, on a
mark + 0.000 .
Further a multi -functional room, Reception Department
and the
toilet rooms (
also for disabled
ones ) are
disposed and also a
room for ventilation
and air-conditioning equipment
for the ground
floor.
Through entrance rampant from
the rear side of
the Structure, on
a mark - 4.20
m , parking for
30 cars is
proposed and also
some
rooms for an equipment, a
water pumping station ,an elevator service
and an electric
power supply.
The first level
of the viewing
platforms is on
a mark + 155.500m.
Here are also
some rooms for
employees and the toilets .
Rooms for elevator Engine
Department and an
equipment for independent
air-conditioning and ventilation
of the cafe
also
disposed on a mark
+158.500m . From this level of +155.500m a winding stair goes
to the upper
level of the
cafe _161.500m
