Three Pavilions is a weekend retreat on the edge of Delhi, where the city gives way to forest. Designed as a porous threshold between home and wilderness, the project responds to its secluded, green surroundings with a dispersed layout of three A-frame pavilions Recreation, Residential, and Guest arranged around a shared courtyard.
Instead of a single-volume home, the design fragments the program to balance privacy and togetherness. A colonnaded path connects the pavilions, encouraging movement and interaction while framing views of the forest.
Built with minimal site disturbance, the steel structures are angular and spare, contrasting with the organic landscape. Inside, a palette of wood, stone, and exposed steel evokes quiet warmth. The architecture passively responds to climate, with shaded sit-outs, large overhangs, and elevated floors.
Each pavilion opens onto both the central lawn and the forest beyond, creating a rhythm of shared and solitary moments ideal for restful weekends shaped by light, landscape, and retreat.
