With stunning views over the Houhora Harbour in Northland and a clients love for boats and fishing, Arcline Architecture were engaged to design a home that felt like a ship, overlooking the harbour.
With this in mind the master bedroom was positioned on the third storey, by itself, signifying the bridge of a ship. Below on the first floor is the main living spaces, outdoor areas including an infinity edge pool, three bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, study, laundry & kitchen.
The main entry to the home is from the rear, up a picturesque driveway past the Moa statues leading to the tiled portico with steps up to the 2.2m wide & 3m high electric pivot front door, formed with rough steel.
From the first floor there’s the option of stairs or two lifts – one to the master bedroom and one to the ground floor.
The ground floor is equally as elaborate, a three car garage, rumpus room, theatre and a wellness area including a large spa, massage area, gym, sauna, bathroom & steam room.
The kitchen, bar, cabinetry, shelving, vanities and wardrobes were designed and built by Aveora, giving the home a quality finishing touch with beautiful furnishings.
Home automation has been taken to a new level with this residence, a central control system managing all lighting, door locks, curtains, blinds, room specific air-con, pool levels and more.
