Thematic Pavilion for Asian
The Yeosu World Expo in 2012 is a unique event which makes people get together to experience and discover the beauty of architectures. Hai Jingli Theme Exhibition Hall is one of these architecture. She is located in the south of the Expo City of the sea coast, closed to the “O” type breakwater, is the perfect interpretation of the combination for technology and art. She is one of the charming scenery for 2012 World Expo.
The modern design of the exhibition hall imitates the shape of seaside eggshell, just as the nautilus. The design of the annular nautilus portion continuously leads visitors through a series of space which showing a circular tour route in the exhibition hall. According to shell’s structure, this theme exhibition hall absorbs structural from natural element, the strong and rich form of the exhibition surface is like the layer upon layer rippling on water. Exhibition hall of the building connects with offshore vertical foundation, internal background surrounding by dark blue. The theme of space is putting on generous simplicity but concentrating on different themes, waviness surface becomes a part of design element just as the light changing appearance.
