The architectural interpretation of the cinema’s image is based on the interpretation of the building as the main premieresite of Russia and the main stage of the Moscow
International Film Festival. The designed conception involves changes of the
Pushkinsky cinema’s image (which was the formercinema and concert
hall "Russia") and its transformation into a symbolic scene of the stage
of the show-presentation.We suggest tosuspend the construction on the real stage of the expressive
capacity of the building having
built around it a system of such
“mataphors”:

leading actor– an
authentic cinema
building;

a symbolic scene – a new architectural the building envelope;

auditorium – a square with
a monument to Pushkin and adjacent streets.
The transparent building envelope,
placed between the viewer and the main “actor” (authentic building) focuses all attention on the main “actor”in our project.
“Actor-building” is
separated from the audience by the curtain
(slips) that opens to the spectator the main culmination
of our vision – the building of the cinema,
every day in different ways.
We suggest to increase the cinema hall, before the authentic buildings, which
is a part of a symbolic scene and front terrace – proscenium, where placed the
other characters in our show – visitors of the cinema complex.
The entrance stairs and ramps are located for this architectural and theatrical acting from the square, which is the auditorium. This metaphor of light rays of the projectors
increase the intriguepresentation and focus attention on the action. The light rays silhouettes continue to the lobby and dissolve, passing in terraces around the building.
In addition to that the image of the facade of the
complex varies denending on the type of the occurring event in the building by
the realization of different scripts for the position and the graphic sun
diaphragm on the facades.
