“The White Shirt According to Me: Gianfranco Ferré” designed for Phoenix Art Museum’s Steele Gallery is an integrated design strategy, combining the architecture of the museum, the planning of the exhibition concept, Ferré’s 27 ‘floating’ white shirts, and the visitors experience to create an experience of movement and sequence. More than displaying art, the exhibition is planned as three sequential ‘environments’, where the exhibition architecture is designed as a carefully conceived promenade through and between the environments.
